My name is Omar Loggiodice, I am a seminarian studying to become a Priest. These are the Good News from God:
- That YOU are called to be happy forever
- That YOU have been pardoned for every mistake you have made (if you accept God's pardon)
- That YOU are given everything you need on this earth to attain to eternal joy
These Good News is what this Web site is about. And you can truly have
everything that is promised here, because God himself promised it. It
is because God became a little child many years ago that you can now
enjoy His gifts. He grew up, became a man, was obedient to His earthly
parents, and then He died for YOU. We will explain how you can be happy here on earth, but even more importantly, how you can be happy for all eternity...
The first thing you must know is that happiness is a GIFT.
In other words, you can not get it by yourself. Sure, there are things
that you can, and must do, if you want to be happy, but in the end,
happiness is a gift. If you don't understand this you will always look
for happiness in the wrong place, and even though you may feel good for
a while, you will not be really happy.
The second thing you need to know is that happiness is not feeling good
all the time. Think about a mother who is in labor, she suffers a lot
of pain, but she is happy because she is giving birth to a child. In
the same way, true happiness here on earth, is not about feeling good
all the time, but about having an abiding peace that remains with you
even when you are upset, overburdened and stressed. Sounds strange? It
is!! That is why many people don't find it, they look for happiness in
the wrong place.
The third thing you must know is that even though happiness is a gift,
there are things you must do so that you receive the gift. There are
many ways to receive this gift, but I will show you the most perfect
way. The way I will show you is the most perfect because God himself
ordained it, designed it, and made it known to us. Other ways are
still available for other people that for some reason or another do not
know the perfect way.
What is the perfect way? Well, the first step is to believe in Him who
is the giver of the gift. That is, you need to belive God, to believe in
God, and to believe that he exists. Now, some of these beliefs you can
obtain through your own power, such as believing that God exists.
However, there are other beliefs that require you to have a special
gift from God: the gift of Faith. Through this gift of Faith you are
made able to believe God, that is, to believe and know what He has made
known to us.
Have you ever asked yourself how it is that some people seem to be in
with God? They know many things about God, they can answer different
questions, and they really believe what they are saying. They might not
be able to explain what they believe, but it seems that even if they
were struck by a truck they would not cease to believe. Well, what
makes them so strong in their belief is the gift of Faith.
And how do you receive this gift? Well, the only sure way to obtain it
is by getting Baptised. By receiving the Sacrament of Baptism, among
others, you receive the gift of Faith. You may
already be Baptised, if this is the case, you are well on your
way....ask your Mom or Dad if you were Baptised when you were little
(or maybe you did it as an adult).
